Former Citizen TV news Anchor Kirigo Ng’arua was a darling to many during her 8 years on TV and her unexpected exit for Royal Media Services was received with mixed reactions.
Many did not anticipate that Kirigo Ng’arua, the Charming news anchor could be among the lot that was fired at Citizen.
In a recent Interview, the TV personality disclosed that she was fired while preparing for the 1 pm bulleting.
Kirigo reveals that she received the news of her sacking with shock as she never imagined that she could be fired from the TV station at that time.

Kirigo Ng’arua unexpected and unceremonious excite from Royal Media Services which owns Citizen TV was a surprise to many including her."My lay-off came as a bit of a shock to me as I did not see myself leaving citizen TV any time soon," she said in an interview with Pulse Magazine."Well, I knew that some people would be laid off but I did not give it much thought as I was focused on making myself better in my job."According to reports, up to Royal Media employees lost their first batch consisted of some very well known faces, among them business news anchor Terryanne Chebet and morning presenter Kirigo Ng’ get out of all the destruction and pressure from social media, the former TV girl decided to go abroad and ease the pain.“What I actually dreaded came to be a reality. In that shock, i wasn’t sure how to react. But there was no going back for me. She has her bags packed. Two suitcases to be precise and she is leaving, and might be gone a while. Former Citizen TV, Kirigo Ng’arua, was among the top anchors who lost their jobs following re-organizing of the company’s workforce as a result of the changes witnessed in the broadcasting industry.
However, Kirigo Ng’arua is transitioning well on her own as she sets off on a ‘mini vacation’ and ‘just maybe a new job’, she said hinting at the activities she would be undertaking while she is gone.
While it is unclear to where exactly she is travelling to, she will be gone for a while, if her bags are anything to go by.
